What you can do
Every effort will be made to avoid the generation of waste in the first place, for example by using digital screens and rental equipment as much as possible. Recycling stations are available throughout the conference venue. Containers for collecting electrical, electronic, and battery waste will be provided. From September 26 to October 2 the ‘Ecotic Caravan’ will be onsite displaying various types of electrical and electronic equipment, disassembled, in order to highlight the recyclable and hazardous content, along with other useful information on the importance of recycling and recovery of raw materials. All the electronic equipment and used light sources from the Chamber of Deputies are specially treated and follow the recycling procedure (in partnership with relevant NGOs).
Participants are asked to actively participate in the waste management initiative and support waste avoidance and waste separation as much as possible.
