Candidate interviews

Elections

After the deadline for candidatures (12 October 2026 at 2359 hours CET), the ITU editorial team will ask all candidates for ITU’s five elected management posts to answer a standard set of interview questions.

The questions for each position will be sent on Tuesday, 13 October to each candidate’s personal email address. Candidates will then be invited to submit their answers by the deadline of 2359 hours CET on Friday, 23 October.

Here are the questions to all candidates for each post:

Editorial guidelines for the responses of all candidates

Responses should be written in plain, concise words and in a style that is accessible to a general readership.

Responses must not exceed 1000 words in total, excluding the questions.

Abbreviations and acronyms should be kept to a minimum and should be defined the first time they are used in the text.

Footnotes and hyperlinks should not be used.

Candidates may answer in any of ITU’s six official languages and are encouraged to submit their answers in the language they are most comfortable writing in.
