Code of Conduct

Dear Delegates,

ITU events are organized to the highest ethical standards: they are inclusive, respectful and safe.

As at all UN events and conferences, the PP-26 provides a professional and respectful environment, free of discrimination and harassment. All participants, while coming from many different cultures and backgrounds, are expected to behave – and treat others – with professionalism, integrity and respect for diversity as part of a shared working environment.  It is the responsibility of each one of us to think about how we interact and engage with each other, and be mindful of the standard of conduct that governs our behaviour and choices at ITU events.

By registering for PP-26, delegates have confirmed they have read and understood the Code of Conduct to Prevent Harassment, Including Sexual Harassment, at UN System Events, which reflects “zero tolerance” for harassment at UN-system events.  This Code of Conduct has been endorsed by the UN System Chief Executives Board for Coordination, and is applicable to all ITU meetings, conferences, and events wherever they take place.

Delegates are also invited to watch the video on “Standards of conduct at ITU events”, which is available here.
