Connect with peers. Take part with confidence. <\/strong><br>    <\/p>\n                        <p>\n        In preparation for PP-26, ITU is offering a dedicated capacity-development programme to help delegates participate effectively and confidently in the Conference. The programme will strengthen delegates\u2019 understanding of <strong>ITU processes, negotiations, drafting, regional coordination and leadership<\/strong>, while creating opportunities to connect with fellow delegates.<br><br>Coordinated by the <strong>ITU Gender and Youth Office (GYO)<\/strong>, the programme combines online learning, practical negotiation training, networking and mentoring. It is designed to strengthen delegates\u2019 knowledge of ITU governance and conference procedures, while supporting the meaningful participation of <strong>women, young delegates and first-time participants<\/strong>.    <\/p>\n                        <h2 class=\"h3\">\n        1. Self-paced online course &#8211; open to all delegates    <\/h2>\n                        <p>\n        The online course, hosted on the ITU Academy, is <strong>open to all delegates from ITU Member States participating in PP-26<\/strong>. Available in all six official ITU languages, it provides practical knowledge on:    <\/p>\n                    <div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>ITU governance and decision-making processes<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>The role and functioning of the Plenipotentiary Conference<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>Conference procedures and working methods<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>Proposal development and submission<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>Effective participation in ITU conferences and negotiations<\/li>\n<\/div><\/ul>\n<\/div>                        <p>\n        <a href=\"https:\/\/academy.itu.int\/training-courses\/full-catalogue\/self-paced-introduction-itus-statutory-conferences-plenipotentiary-conference\" class=\"ituBtn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\n            Access the self-paced course here        <\/a>\n    <\/p>\n\n                        <h2 class=\"h3\">\n        2. Regional negotiation and leadership training    <\/h2>\n                        <p>\n        Six interactive regional webinars will give selected <strong>women and young delegates<\/strong> an opportunity to develop practical negotiation and leadership skills ahead of PP-26.<br><br>The sessions use an experiential approach, combining <strong>negotiation simulations, group exercises, peer exchange and facilitated discussions<\/strong>. Participants will work through practical PP-26 scenarios and explore:    <\/p>\n                    <div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>Negotiation preparation and strategy<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>Formal and informal negotiation processes<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>Working effectively within regional groups and delegations<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>Consensus- and coalition-building<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>Conflict-resolution techniques<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>Leadership, chairing and meeting-management skills<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>Building confidence and influence in multilateral settings<\/li>\n<\/div><\/ul>\n<\/div>                        <p>\n        Each regional session will accommodate up to 30 participants to ensure an interactive learning experience.    <\/p>\n                        <h2 class=\"h3\">\n        3. Regional networking and mentoring    <\/h2>\n                        <p>\n        Participants in the regional training sessions will also take part in dedicated <strong>networking and mentoring sessions<\/strong> with experienced ITU delegates and experts. These sessions will provide an opportunity to:    <\/p>\n                    <div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>Exchange experiences and lessons learned from previous ITU conferences<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>Discuss practical approaches to preparing for PP-26<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>Build professional and peer networks across regions<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>Learn from experienced delegates and former conference leaders<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>Continue preparing for effective participation at PP-26<\/li>\n<\/div><\/ul>\n<\/div>                        <p>\n        <strong>Participation in the regional online training webinars and networking and mentoring sessions is restricted to ITU Member States women delegates and ITU Member States young delegates (35 years old and younger).<\/strong><br><br>Priority will be given to participants who <strong>intend to participate in PP-26, are first-time participants in ITU conferences, or aspire to take on active or leadership roles during PP-26<\/strong>.<br><br>For the regional programme, nominations are reviewed on a <strong>first-come, first-served basis<\/strong>, while taking into account diversity of backgrounds and experiences.
